To the point.

<div>For years I’ve been driving over the Pinkham B Road between Randolph, where I live and Great Glen and often wondering about that little trail marked “Town Line Brook Trail, Triple Falls 0.1 miles". I thought it was time to find out, after all it’s right in our backyard and I don’t want to be accused of not getting out enough. </div> <div> </div> <div>Sue and I ambled up through the woods on a trail that runs along side the brook as it steeply climbs up what I suppose is the northern shoulder of Mt Madison. It’s not .1 mile to the falls , more like .5 or .6 But it’s a great little hike to a scenic, deep gorge that would be very energetic after a rain or in the spring. Bring the little ones but make sure they’re with you as you get up to the falls as there’s steep drops off into the brook at that point. The first falls is named Proteus, the second E…something, and the third is Evans.</div> <div> </div> <div>This is a trail in the Randolph Mountain Club system, more on that in another blog, but the point being that they’re called “Paths”, not trails. And this one dead ends at this very entertaining spot.</div> <div> </div> <div>Howie</div>
